Bay Area Tax Attorney Steve Moskowitz informed KGO about the extended IRS deadlines for victims of the California wildfires.

The Internal Revenue Service is extending the deadline for previously extended tax returns, originally due Oct. 16, 2017, to Jan. 21 2018, in addition to pushing back certain other payment due dates.

The IRS is currently providing relief to these affected counties: Butte, Lake, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Sonoma, Yuba, Orange and Solano.

Moskowitz recommended checking the IRS website periodically for potential additions, or those affected can contact Moskowitz LLP for tax help today.
